Chamber Choir l'Almodí We offer next Sunday 4 March at 17:00 hours, a CONCERT With the program “EVENING” (the sunset). Free entry.

This program will take us this evening, to look through different works fall day and the appearance of the stars in the sky, through the works of Esenvalds, Rheinberger, Vivancos and Barja. Through the texts of Cervantes we talk about the decline of the three main protagonists of Don Quixote de la Mancha, three epitaphs playing music by R. Halffter. Within sacred polyphony, Jesus' death and the candor of the Virgin Mary occupy part of our program through works of Lotti, Biebl y Britten.

But the darkness is not eternal: finally night gives way to dawn and a new day is born, as born a new life after we left behind. The bright light will reach the "O Lux Beata Trinitas" Japanese composer Ko Matsushita, which will bring us into the theme of resurrection, ending the program with two energetic works of Mendelssohn and Sisask.

Chamber Choir-Almudi

The Almodí Chamber Choir is based on 2002. It is composed of 8 young singers with extensive choral experience as components and / or collaborators of various agrenowned musical rupaciones, as the Cor de la Generalitat Valenciana, the choir holder of the Teatro Real in Madrid, Chorus of Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Orfeón Donostiarra, Valencia's cathedral Coral, the Valencia University Choir, University Choir of the Balearic Islands, etc. Since its inception, it is run by Óscar Payá Prats.
