We visit the Vicar of charitable and Social Action of the Diocese of Valencia
Yesterday 30 November we visited in the Centre Social de San Juan de el Hospital the Vicar of charitable and Social Action of the Diocese of Valencia, D. José María Taberner, to tour our facilities and greeted some of leaders and volunteers who are in charge of the workshops. Thank you for your support and advice!
At the moment they are 7 Workshops in March - directed by 10 Volunteers- and involving around 50 beneficiaries: Couture, kitchen, crafts, Spanish (in 3 levels), nationality, painting and English. They are also taught 4 Food handler courses per year (funded by the College of veterinarians of Valencia), those who attended an average of 20-25 people/course. In addition, the Social Centre has a bag of employment - directed by Maite C., volunteer-, in order to contact people that have formed in our workshops with employers who offer different jobs.
