The Corpus Christi procession

The next Sunday 3 June we celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi (of the body and blood of Christ) and in the afternoon will be the traditional procession to accompany the Blessed Sacrament through the streets of Valencia. Children who this year have received First Communion in San Juan del Hospital will participate in the procession attached to the parish of St. Thomas the Apostle and San Felipe Neri.

The streets are flooded with the passage of the Corpus Christi procession in Valencia that follows a similar tour since its inception in 1355, period in which this holiday meant big Valencia City celebration, as a symbol of this, throughout the procession of the Corpus Christi in Valencia You can hear a ringing of the bells with the special touch of the feast from the Tower of Miguelete.

Corpus ChristiTo the 19 hours leave the procession from the door of the Apostles.

To the 20 hours will the Custody of the Cathedral, with the turning of the five largest bells of Miguelete.

The usual route: Plaza de la Virgen, Knights, Tossal, Bolsería, market, Maria Cristina, San Vicente, Plaza de la Reina, Sea, Hazelnuts, Palau, Plaza de l'Almoina and entrance to the Cathedral through the door of l'Almoina.
