Cristo de la Misericordia
This Holy Thursday is has “baptized” the Christ who presides over our chapel of confessionals with the advocation of “Cristo de la Misericordia”. Precisamente el próximo Sunday 3 in April we celebrate this feast that, as the year of mercy, has a special character. En palabras del Papa Francisco: “Mercy changes the world, It makes the world less cold and more just. God's face is the face of mercy, you always have patience. […] God never gets tired to forgive us. The problem is that we we get tired of asking forgiveness. Do not get tired never! He is the loving father who always forgives, to have mercy with all of us”.
Next to the name of Christ, We have included the ejaculation “Sacred Heart and Jesus merciful, give us peace“, many times repeated by St. Josemaría, que tenía una entrañable devoción al Corazón de Jesús.
Recordamos que esta fiesta fue instituida por San Juan Pablo II to declare the second Sunday of Easter as"The divine mercy Sunday” When canonized to Saint Faustina Kowalska (also called “Apostle of mercy”) in the year 2000, who spread the devotion to the Divine Mercy through an image that sent painting after the particular revelation that Jesus had: “paints an image depending on the model you see and sign: Jesus, en Ti confío. I wish that this image is worshipped first in his Chapel and in the whole world” (words of Jesus to St. Faustina in his diary).
