Thursday 6 January – Epiphany of the Lord
The Friday 6 from January we celebrate the Epiphany: SS. MM. The Three Kings will make a stop at San Juan del Hospital during Mass 12 h: they will arrive at the Offertory with the gold, the frankincense and myrrh to offer to the God child.
The Epiphany of the Lord: time in which, According to the Gospel, some magicians of East came to Jerusalem asking "where is the King of them Jewish that just of birth?"? Because we saw arise your star and have come to worship him (…). After listening to the King, the magicians are put in road, and suddenly the star that they had seen arise , began to guide them, until he stopped over where the child was. To see the star again, they were filled with great joy. Entered in the House and looked at the child with Maria, his mother, and they bowed down, It worshiped. Then, opening their chests, they offered him gifts: Gold, frankincense and myrrh”. (Matthew 2, 1-12).
