Novena to the Christ of Sorrows (5-13 March)
Next Saturday 5 March will begin the Novena to the Christ of Sorrows in S. Juan de el Hospital, that will end your holiday, Sunday 13 March (5of lent). The ninth will join every day to the mass of 19 h.

The Christ of Sorrows is an anonymous 14th century sculpture. The current image replaces the original, that was destroyed in 1937 and that had been moved in 1905 the newly built Temple of S. John and S. Vicente (Calle Isabel la Católica), where he also was transferred the parish.
Currently venerated image was acquired by the first Rector of the Church of S. Juan de el Hospital in 1967, When the temple was restored and returned to the cult.
In the 14th century, the confraternity of the most Holy Christ of Sorrows was greatly appreciated in Valencia, among other works of mercy, the clavario took care of lso needy prison prisoners. In 1767 It ceased to have news of this brotherhood.
